Oaxaca cont’d

More thousands out on the street in Oaxaca this week and more of them killed by police anti-demonstration forces. Photos tell at least a lot of the story. Peeps on the barricades don’t look like no organized guerillas, like no fake revolutionaries with an agenda, because they look more like everybody– men, women, kids, grandmas and grandpas. A hundred-thousand families out and the government won’t listen? Um, you know what that’s about. In fact, you know it bodes ill for the new barely-elected Mexican government, the whole country watching Oaxacans just up and doing it, pouring into the streets despite the risk of being gassed and shot-dead at the behest of the so-called leaders. Marcos, that Hollywood-ready spokesman for the oppressed, is talking now on that very subject. So what’s gonna happen? You can vote for the ending of your choice with the Mexican consulate. Digits available at Chamba notes with a short Oaxaca news roundup.
