political wigs and fake mustaches
By Pop and Politics, April 20, 2007 10:28 am | RSS | trackback | commentThe Crimethinc books are funny and energizing. They’re anarchist books but that’s a heavy word, dude. I like to think of them as popculture political workbooks that challenge readers to accept how circumscribed life can become if we don’t tune in and get off the corporate treadmill! Like, for instance, do you really want to eat at Stinky Mickey’s, or is it just that the only left turn for fifty miles that the five-lane suburban road your driving allows you to make is into the Stinky Mickey’s drive-through? You know it’s like that all around you, people, on-road and off-road, and by design!
This week’s short is based on the text of the best of the Crimethinc books, Days of War, Nights of Love. The film, “Why I love Shoplifting from Big Corporations,” is directed by Franklin Lopez and it will probably win The Flux’s online short film fest this year.
