She’s totally blond. She’s wearing a choker. And she’s taking your job.

This thing is gonna be awesome: Anchorwoman, the Fox Network’s pretty much masochistic reality show celebration about the bleach-blond catwalk that is news programming today. The Fox publicity-material description of the show pretty much says it all: “Anchorwoman follows the trials and tribulations of buxom blonde Lauren Jones as she sets out to transform herself from swimsuit model to hard-hitting news anchor for KYTX Channel 19 in Tyler, Texas.”

I like that: not just “from swimsuit model to news anchor” but “from swimsuit model to hard-hitting news anchor.” Yeah baby.

I think this will go down as the signature at the bottom of the resignation letter of television journalism. Good riddance!
