My pal Ray just emailed me a link to RadioHead’s new album site. I’m not a full-fledged RadioHead slave based on the music. But the fact that they have traded on their insane popularity to eschew the industry and deliver their new music directly to the fans is enormous. So, ok computer, sign me up as a slavish worshiper.

Fans choose: for about $80 you can order the discbox of the album, in / rainbows, or you can download it for any price you choose to pay. The discbox comes with all that stuff up there— cds, mp3s, vinyls, booklet, etc— and the download is just the music. In other words, there’s something for everybody except the formerly fat middlemen. Yay.
