P+P @ The DNC: Obama’s Major League Screw Up Revealed
Barack Obama’s first job was with Judson Miner’s law firm specializing in civil rights in 1992. While mingling outside a Politico-sponsored panel at the DNC, Miner said he’s often asked about any criticisms of Obama or anecdotes of errors, screw-ups and faults.
“They say he’s a lawyer so he had to have made a mistake at some point,” he said. “He is the same impressive man today that he was then,” seemingly implying that the line of questioning was a dead-end.
I informed Miner that Obama told ESPN’s Stuart Scott that at Wrigley Field, home of the rival and hated Chicago Cubs, “People aren’t watching the game. It’s not serious. White Sox - that’s baseball.”
Miner, a lifelong Cubs fan, paused for a brief second, smiled, and said that he just may have found the big error he should describe to journalists when asked about Obama’s tenure.
