The late, great Johnny Cash is either rolling for joy or angst in his grave right about now. His son, John Carter Cash, will be executive producing a compilation album slated for October 14th titled Johnny Cash Remixed. It will feature reworked classics of the late singer, such as “I Walk The Line,” “Get Rhythm,” and “Straight A’s In Love.” By the looks of the featured artists (Snoop Dogg does “I Walk The Line”), it seems to take a rap/hip hop direction. 

Back in ‘02, Johnny Cash awed us with his passionate cover of NIN’s “Hurt.” Chances are his son won’t outdo that, but we’re still curious about what this album will bring.
