I loved that piece on Apple. I have always "envied" those that have these sleek looking and beautiful machines. And yet... am such a PC user that I don't know I could ever, ever get my act together on a MAC. Having said that, many of the people I know who have left the PC world for MACS will never come back. I think we do have to think "outside of the PC box" and be open to suggestions. I would not hesitate in getting a MAC next time my PC crashes (again!).

PG, I think you are absolutely right. I've often thought this myself. Apple is so successful, so user friendly, because they have had the benefit of learning from all the failures of Microsoft and PC Manufacturers. I mean no discredit to Steve Jobs for possibly being the greatest mind-reader of the American consumer ever, or to the business minds that came up with a successful, model that for Apple keeps design, manufacturing and programming all in-house. But Apple has certainly benefited tremendously from be able to to take the many failures of a monolithic marketplace presence and slowly crafting alternatives that resolve many people's frustrations with Windows and the machines it runs on.

I kind of think that there would not be a Mac if there was not a PC or a PC if there was not a Mac...kind of the Yin and Yan of virtual life...so...sooner or later......as everything in life.....you will experience it....after all, that's life!....I hope that word abbreviations associations would not make us choose for one or the other, otherwise Mac could be very edible or PC very correct......!
I join the Hallelujahs!!!!

Ready? No really...here I go... Once you go mac, you'll never go back. I know. I am sorry. But I am as skeptical as anyone about technology and hype. But the truth is - you are either a mac person or a pc person. And all I know is that I have never met anyone who has tried a mac (really tried) and not loved it forever and ever like a child.
