It was flashback 1968 last weekend, all protesters and cops in Los Angeles and Paris. In both cities, anti-immigrant forces got busy kicking ass. Here in LA they dispatched women and children and journalists. In France they gassed all of the people under 40 who opposed Sarkozy’s election as (an anti-immigrant) president.

I missed all the MacArthur Park May Day action that made the news, the cops bum-rushing the worker-speakers, because I got to the whole thing late and I left early. Question: How can you arrive late or leave early when the workers are in charge, you know?
